Hi everyone! Hope you've been enjoying the weekend. I know I have! I just completed a layout I made for a couple of challenges. It's been awhile since I've participated in any and there were a couple that caught my eye, the Mixed Media &Texture Challenge at Picture This Challenges and the January Challenge at Words & Paintery.
I used papers by Blue Fern Studios, lots of flowers from my stash and 2Crafty Chipboard.
Here's a little info on the challenges:
Create a project and incorporate mixed media and textures. I did a lot of stamping on my background paper, along with some inking, misting, paint splattering as well as some stenciling.
Love the color scheme for the January Challenge at Words & Paintery. I also took to heart the written part of the challenge. I remember years ago when my marriage was falling apart I was told by someone that you stick with it, even if you aren't happy. That's the way it should be. Nevertheless my marriage did not last. When I saw the picture I used on Pinterest it made me think of the couple in the picture. Obviously in their golden years and wondering what obstacles they faced in life and what made them stay in it for the haul.
Here are a few closeups:
That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by!
